If you’re looking for a game packed with creativity and laughs, than Cranium Conga is a good choice for you! Try to guess what others are thinking in this hilarious game that is ideal for party group settings. It’s also great for families since children as young as eight can participate and have a good time.
Each player draws a card that asks a question or makes a statement, such as “How many hours ago was my last bath, or, “The strangest thing I have ever seen a pet eat is_______” Indicated on the card is the type of activity the player will have to do, as described in the bullet points below. The player gets to choose their answer, keeping in mind the type of action that is indicated on the card.
* Crative Cat Sculptorades: Sculpt your answer using the special Cranium Clay without talking. (Sadly, our game lived in Arizona too long with my husband’s family, and the clay was dried up when we tried to play it.)
* Word Worm Mind Reader: Give players only the first letter of the word you are thinking of and have them try to guess.
* Data Head Guesstimor: Have players guess a number (answers chosen of this type must be numbers), then indicate whether it is higher of lower until they guess the correct number.
* Star Performer Sound stage: Act out your answer using gestures and sound effects--but no talking.
The game gets pretty fun, especially since there is a guessing gadget/timer that you secretly write your answer in. This gets passed around, each player hitting the “Guess Button" after they guess as they try to beat the timer. It makes fun sounds and keeps the suspense high as you never know when the time will run out--each round has a different amount of time allotted!
Like most of the Cranium games, Cranium Conga is unique in its approach, urging players to be creative and think outside the box. While it is not my favorite game, I do enjoy an occasional game of Cranium Conga, especially when the right people are over. If you are looking for a clever game to enjoy for the sake of a good time and lots of fun, then Cranium Conga is a fine choice.
